About Us
Why Angels2Angels?
Angels2Angels is a student-run organization that raises funds and sells custom, hand-crafted, angel ornaments for the purpose of eliminating child poverty. Through volunteering opportunities, fundraisers, and advocacy, Angels2Angels is working to solve UN Global Goal number four: “Quality Education.”
Our Story
Our mission began in a classroom in Lebanon, where we witnessed the difficulties of learning without basic educational resources. This encounter led Ryan Elchahal, Lilya Elchahal, and Lara Elchahal to come up with the Angels2Angels organization: an attempt at addressing the global education deficit. It has been proven that a good education can change lives, yet, unfortunately, education is oftentimes neglected outside the realm of first world countries. Through on-the-ground partnerships, Angels2Angels hopes to link the resources of the U.S. to beneficiaries across the globe.
Fundraising & Projects
Past fundraising efforts have included selling arts and crafts at alternative gift fairs, notably Angel ornaments. We have also raised capital directly through donations.
Up until now, we have primarily focused on donating textbooks and other reading material to underprivileged schools. We are looking to expand into technology donations and the formation of a robust all-purpose educational curriculum.
